I simply cannot believe it's already over. I hope you and your families had a wonderful holiday! As much as I miss our families, it's nice that Christmas is whatever we choose to make of it. No running around...no real clothes. Just enjoying each other's company and relaxing...in our pajamas.....snacking on leftovers. That makes me happy. Finally getting to relax on Christmas.
Everyone really enjoyed their presents this year, too. And the girls were old enough to really have a good time. First thing, we woke up to Norah crying...no big deal. Unfortunately, she was covered in icky poo from her tush to her head. .Merry Christmas! Let's take a bath! Then that woke up Lara and Mia and we went in their room and they JUMPED back in bed and pretended to be asleep. "Can we get up now?"
So we went into the living room and the big girls made a beeline for the cookie plate to inspect Santa's appetite on Christmas Eve and they were very pleased! He ate every cookie and drank ALL the milk! (In actuality, "Santa" ate a little too much ham and had to put the cookies back in the cookie box....he was a bit full)
Then the girls saw the stash and ripped into it and enjoyed every single gift. Good times!
And apparently I was especially good this year...cuz I got a camera! I had told Colin that I really wanted an 'inspiration' camera...something teeny that I could carry around with me and snap inspiration shots and colors. I was in NO WAY expecting to get one. I was totally floored!
And I have to cut this post short today because all the kids are home with me and ...well...there are a LOT of toys to play with! You really should see the detail in this cam's pics, though...wow! The cam my parents bought for us (which is only 4 years old) is 4 megapixels. This new one is 10!! And this baby packs a PUNCH! It's truly amazing how much detail this thing picks up! So I'm off to take some more! Ciao!
